Working on “The History of the Vine Inn Barossa Community Hotel” by Kathryn Schilling was a privilege.

When Kathryn approached me with her vision for the book, I immediately knew this was going to be an exciting project. For me it was a wonderful opportunity to dive into the rich history of a community landmark, The Vine Inn.

The goal was to create a design that felt classic and inviting, mirroring the timeless charm of the Vine Inn. The color palette, typography, and overall layout were chosen to reflect the Inn’s heritage and the warm, welcoming atmosphere it has offered the community for years.

The book launch during History Week was a highlight of the project. Held at the Vine Inn itself, the event was a memorable celebration of community and history. The atmosphere was enriched by the wonderful performance of the Tanunda Liedertafel Men’s Choir, and an excellent discussion about the History of South Australia with speaker, Dr Kiera Lindsey The South Australian History Advocate. It was truly special to see the community come together to celebrate history of South Australia and the launch of the book.

Working with Kathryn was a delightful experience. Her passion for the project was contagious.
